COVID-19 Safety Precautions

The safety of our patients at New Tampa Smiles in Tampa, FL, is always our primary concern, but especially since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the pandemic, we’ve implemented some COVID-19 safety precautions that we’re asking all patients to follow to keep our other patients and staff healthy and free from exposure to the virus.

COVID Precautions

Prior to your appointment, a staff member will call you with some health-related questions. The questions help us determine whether you may have been exposed to the COVID virus and ensure that you’re healthy before coming to our office.

When coming to your appointment, we ask that all our patients wear masks during their visit. Wearing facemasks helps reduce the spread of COVID-19 to other people. Also, we will be screening patients by taking their temperatures, and we are limiting the number of people in the waiting room by asking them to wait outside or in their cars until called in to see the dentist.

Our staff at New Tampa Smiles is also taking extra COVID-19 safety precautions. We are taking extra time to ensure each room gets thoroughly sanitized after seeing every patient in case they may be asymptomatic. Wiping down the seat and anything they’ve touched will help reduce the spread of the virus.

Also, along with masks, our dentist and staff will wear protective face shields, goggles, or surgical gowns. These precautions are not to frighten you, but to stop the spread of the virus. Along with protecting ourselves, these safety precautions will also protect you and our other patients.

Limit Visitors with You

Please limit the people that come with you to your dental appointment. Please have someone watch your small children at home while you’re at your appointment with the dentist. If you have an older child who is visiting the dentist, consider allowing them to go to the appointment alone.

By using these COVID-19 safety precautions, we can reduce the spread of the virus and ensure your safety while you’re visiting us at New Tampa Smiles in Tampa, FL.
